The Junior Fleet Spring Tune Up
Special thanks to Paddy Kurtz, Taylor Tompkins, Taz Carrington, Tom Richardson, Scott Vail, & Frederick Johnson for pitching in to pull all of the junior sailing boats out of the racks and rig, clean and repair them. It was a lot of work and these guys did a great job preparing the fleet for another successful season of junior sailing.
Spring & Summer Courses at RRYC
We just had our first jr. sailing committee meeting and wow.. these classes are filling up fast!
April 23rd: RRYC Sunfish Coaching Day Clinic
April 30th: RRYC Optimist Coaching Day Clinic
These April one day clinics are designed to get you and your boat tuned up for the Spring Series beginning May 1st. Registration forms and information are provided to the right under "Upcoming Events".
June 6 - 10: RRYC Junior Training Week
July 5 - 8: Chesapeake Academy Junior Sailing Course
July 18 - 22: Chesapeake Academy Junior Sailing Course
July 25 - 28: RRYC Race Training Week - leads up to the RRYC Jr. Regatta on July 29.
August 1 - 5: RRYC Junior Training Week

Thank you, thank you, thank you to early donors Marshall Orr, Tommy & Brenda Asch, Joe and Carol Sarnowski, Doug Lyle, Pete Clay, Frank Birdsall, Pete & Tove Power, Stu Kramer and Cheyrl & Ron Mihils.
The Junior Sailing Program now has three new Optimists sailboats with dollies. Look for "Opti-Mystic" and "Lil Skip" out on the water this year.
We aim to purchase three more as well as a travel trailer as more funds are raised.
