Bay Open Junior Olympics Held at Hampton Yacht Club

RRYC Junior Sailors, John Vail and Boyd Bragg (pictured right) raced in the U.S. Sailing Junior Olympics at Hampton Yacht Club.  The three day event started on July 1st with a clinic and races followed over the next two days along with great post race fun including a pig pickin' on Saturday.  Event Chairs, Kathy & Malcolm Brady, did a fantastic job and we hope they do it again next year!  Truly a wonderful event all around.  By the way, those are porpoise fins.  Hmmm.....

The Chesapeake Bay regatta circuit is in full swing and there are may opportunities to race throughout the summer.  Some area events are listed below.  Click on the links to the regatta websites for more information.  Please contact Bo Bragg via email or phone (804.436.7337) if your sailor has any interest in attending one of these events.  The RRYC Junior Division will be organizing travel arrangements to many of these regattas over the summer.

August 6th & 7th:  47th Annual Virginia Governor's Cup Regatta & Sunfish Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship. 

August 13th & 14th:  FBYC 72nd Annual One Design Regatta
